How Long Do BGB Biodegradable Golf Balls® take to dissolve?
Our BGB Biodegradable Golf Balls® when submerged in fresh or salt water take about 2 - 4 weeks to fully dissolve. Within minutes to hours you can see the ball starting to dissolve. Generally, the dimples will start to become smooth and slippery to touch. The balls break down into a non toxic substance similar to dishwasher pods.
You can hit our water soluble golf balls onto land without feeling guilty that you’ll need to recover every ball. The exact timeline on how long one of our balls take to dissolve on land will be dictated by the amount of precipitation your biome receives. For a rainy region like the coast of Washington it may take 6 - 8 months, however an arid dry climate like Arizona may take much longer.
